Pacific View Academy has introduced the availability of A-G course offerings. High school students must earn a minimum of a “C” grade in the A-G courses in order for the course to count towards meeting the requirement. To be eligible for admission to a University of California campus, students must also earn a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better in these courses.
The expanded course list provides students the opportunity to take A-G approved course offerings in core areas including English, Math, Science and Social Studies. These offerings have been tremendously popular among students currently in the program, and have increased course rigor and course placement options for the program. The new offerings include Spanish, Visual Arts, Speech and Communications, and other elective options.
All A-G courses are courses adopted from Edgenuity Courseware and have been approved by the UCOP portal. Content is provided online, and course content, labs, instruction and assessments are managed by Highly Qualified Teachers within Lucia Mar.
